Shotgun Shooting

Trap

This shooting sport involves a shotgun. Twenty-five clay targets are launched at differing angles to the right, left and straight away from the shooter. The object is to break all 25 targets from 5 “stations” in a partial circle, 5 shots to each station. The team is 5 shooters each at one station. After all 5 have shot once they move to the next station to shoot again until all 25 shots have been taken from all stations.

Skeet

In Skeet there are 8 stations to shoot from. These targets are launched from a “High” house and a “Low” house. At 4 stations the shooter will shoot a target from a “high” house, then a “low” house, finally a Double from both houses (high and low). At the other 4 stations the shooter must shoot one target from the high house and one from the low house. These targets may go away from the shooter, come to the shooter or go to right or left in front of the shooter, depending on the where the shooter is.

5-Stand

Five Stand is a type of shotgun sport - similar to Sportng Clays, Trap and Skeet. There are 5 Stations or Stands and 6-18 strategically placed clay target throwers. Shooters shoot in turn at various combinations of clay birds.
